Aids & Equipment; Physiotherapy; Educational, Vocational and Technological Aids Reports as relevant.
1.2 Advise whether any further expert evidence may
be necessary.
1.3 Provide initial advice; confirm the likely scope of Report, and estimate of cost for approval.
2.1 Visit and interview claimant and their family to appraise current circumstances.
2.2 Inspect dwelling. Undertake a measured survey and take photographs inside and out.
2.3 Prepare plans, 1.100 scale illustrating the existing accommodation for inclusion in Report.
2.4 Prepare resumé of advices from other Experts' reports, pertinent to accommodation needs.
2.5 Assess claimant's specific short-term and long-term accommodation needs.
2.6 Identify and evaluate options for meeting those needs by:-
i) Adapting existing accommodation.
ii) Acquiring, Extending and Adapting alternative accommodation.
iii) Designing and Constructing purpose-built accommodation.
iv) Renting, and partially Extending/Adapting.
2.7 Obtain Extension/Adaptation/New Build costs. Obtain details of available property/land. Short-list and apply costing to examples, together with Associated Costs.
Identify any VAT exemptions.
2.8 Advise on "Market Enhancement" value and Costs to reverse Adaptations as necessary to restore Market Value and Marketability as required.
3.1 Undertake measured survey of alternative property.
3.2 Consult Local Authority and Servicing bodies.
3.3 Prepare outline scheme proposals for discussion with Claimant, Case Manager and Local Authority.
3.4
Prepare final scheme design for approval.
3.5 Provide budget costing for the proposals.
3.6 Submit Planning Application to Local Authority, serving requisite notices.
3.7 Obtain advices, designs and calculations from other consultants as necessary.
3.8 Prepare developed design proposals and submit Building Regulations Application.
4.1 Advise on product selection; specialist aids; fittings and equipment - incorporated into
design proposals.
4.2 Prepare
detail drawings and schedules for discussion and approval.
4.3 Prepare detailed specification manuscript of all work to be done and materials to be used.
5.1 Advise on options in obtaining contractors' tenders.
5.2 Report prices received and agree contract value.
5.3 Advise on Form of Contract. Prepare Contract documentation and arrange for signing.
6.1 Administer the building contract.
6.2
Inspect generally, the quality and progress of the work.
6.3 Provide Valuations, Certificates and Architect's Instruction.
6.4 Negotiate computation of final account and
advise value.
6.5 Provide Certificate of Completion at the end of "Making Good Defects" period.
